Venue and Accommodation

The symposium will take place at the Friends Meeting House on Mount Street in Manchester city centre, just beside the town hall and the central library (which will reopen after nearly four years’ refurbishment work at the end of March).

The venue is a 5 minute walk from Manchester Oxford Road station, 15 minutes walk from Piccadilly or Victoria. There is a free bus (Metroshuttle 3) from Piccadilly station that stops by the library on Peter Street, 2 minutes walk away. Likewise, trams from Piccadilly and Victoria stop in front of the library on St. Peter’s Square.

Chorlton Street coach station is a 5-10 minute walk away, Shudehill interchange 10-15 minutes. If driving, there is plenty of parking in the city centre: details can be found here.

We are very grateful to Visit Manchester for co-ordinating accommodation in the city centre. A list of nearby hotels can be found here. You can book rooms through the site at negotiated delegate rates until May 1. Do contact us if you have any further questions about travel or accommodation at morallife@gmx.co.uk.
